Copa Airlines to service David, Chiriqui, and Bocas del Toro

Copa will serve Chiriqui and Bocas 

The company Riva Argentina Enrique Malek airport upgrade for $ 27.4 million, allowing the arrival of aircraft from more than 100 passengers.

At the end of 2010 or beginning of next year, the provinces of Chiriqui and Bocas del Toro will be among the destinations that Copa Airlines offers.

Pedro Heilbron, CEO of Copa, said connectivity was established through the Tocumen airport with routes in the U.S. and South America where there is more potential tourists interested in visiting these two regions.

We have already begun planning the operation and we are in the process of selection of aircraft and operators with which to develop this project, explained the chief executive of the airline.

Recently, the Argentine capital firm Riva won the bid to expand Enrique Malek Airport, located in David, Chiriqui.

The modernization of existing infrastructure and improving the runway will be worth 27.4 million dollars.
